Architecture

Total Benchmark Solution has developed an architecture that is secure, scaleable, reliable, and most of all, useful.

Architectural Component Benefit to the Client
Totally Web Based For any client to use this application, all they need access to is: (a) The Internet; (b) A Web Browser (such as Internet Explorer) and Adobe Acrobat Reader, all of which are typically standard on a desktop. The client does not need to install any hardware or additional software.
Open Architecture TBS’s selection of non-proprietary standard components serves to reassure the client that the application will be maintainable, feature-rich, and secure. Additionally, as new architectural components are made generally available, they can be incorporated into the application in a streamlined manner.
Constructed using state-of-the-art programming language and database The underlying database and programming language used by the TBS application is also used by the SABRE system, Yahoo, the Associated Press, Google, and NASA (among others) and was carefully selected due to its:
  • Reliability
  • High Performance
  • High levels of Integration with Web-based requirements
  • Fast-track Development Capabilities
Strict Security Standards The application is 128-bit encrypted and offers the ability to manage end-user privileges effectively. The client can be assured that their data is maintained in a manner meeting or exceeding the HIPAA security standard.
User authentication based upon email address with protected domain names This makes the process of authentication easier to remember and manage. The user account name is identical to the e-mail address and processes such as “password reset” are handled by email.
State-of-the-Art Data Center The TBS application is housed at our ViaWest co-location partner (www.viawest.net), supporting superlative uptime, data protection /backup, and full network and power redundancies.
Comprehensive On-Line Training System The TBS is supported by an online comprehensive Implementation Manual as well as online tutorials to provide a complete understanding for data consistency and system use.
